One for all and all for one

Julia and Emma received a similar diagnosis to Ada's. All 3 of my children have mild cerebral palsy.

Those are heartbreaking, excruciating words to have to write, but I guess I have to start facing reality and this is as good a place as any to start. Today I'm grieving the life we thought we'd have, but tomorrow I'll get up and fight again.

Thank you all for letting me know you're out there, that you understand, and that you care.

I can't even imagine the devastation you must feel. I'm so sorry for the news you've received but your girls are so lucky to have such awesome parents that will make sure they get all the help they need. Sending prayers from TX.

Here and chiming in. Don't know much about what "mild cerebral palsy" means except that I knew someone in college with mild cp who had a small limp, and that was it. Wishing you the same with the girls, but wishing you weren't dealing with this news. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear it. You are so brave to face the next day(s) so clearly, and your daughters are lucky to have you.

So sorry to read this news. Dealing with one CP diagnosis must be hard enough, but all three? They've sounded great developmentally from what you've described, so I'm hoping for all of you that their CP is as mild as it can get. Please keep us posted on how things are going, and how the early intervention is helping your lovely girls.

Letting you know that I'm still here and reading and sending many, many prayers, thoughts and hugs your way. I shall hope for all three that "mild" means "almost non-existent." Much love to you and your family as you understand and work with this new knowledge.

I wish you lots of strenth. And some luck. From what you wrote your three little ones are very cute and developing very well. I hope knowing this diagnosis so early will help you in the long term!

I'm sorry your family is going through this. (((hugs)))

And if it helps I also had a friend in college who had mild CP, and she had no outward signs at all thanks to early physical therapy. In fact, I only found out about it because she mentioned it was the reason she couldn't participate in my study on proprioception. She just got married and got her masters degree. I hope your girls have a similar good outcome!
